Halfway between New York and L.A. , Minneapolis is all the way out the ordinary. Sidewalk cafes and shopping line Nicollet Avenue , entertainment abounds in the Warehouse District and Broadway shows are onstage in the Hennepin Theatre District. Shop ‘til you drop: enjoy no sales tax on apparel at over 500 stores at Mall of America. Outdoor recreation is year-round in the City of Lakes ; the Mississippi River and numerous parks and lakes provide a beautiful background for walking or biking. Stroll along the historic Riverfront District and see the mills where Minneapolis got its start in the flour industry.
