COVID-19 Policy and Updates

AMATYC is very excited about the return of our in-person conference.  Things may look a little different as we implement the health and safety procedures that are recommended at the time of the conference.  AMATYC continues to monitor the state and local requirements in Phoenix and will be following the CDC’s guidelines.

Masks will be required indoors at all times during the conference.

AMATYC is taking additional steps to mitigate risk, increase social distancing, reduce touchpoints, etc.  For more information, please see this updated version of our AMATYC 2021 COVID Policies.

Looking to share a room at the conference but do not have a roommate?  Use the Conference Roommate Form to be paired with somebody.

Preside as a Session

There is still time to volunteer to be a presider for the 2021 AMATYC Conference in Phoenix.  Submit a presider application!

Community Project

The Phoenix Local Events Committee is supporting students at the Kamanzi Secondary School in Kenya for their community project at the AMATYC Annual Conference and they’re excited to introduce you to this beautiful community!

With a focus on equity and accessibility, the local committee is breaking down barriers by raising funds for uniforms and sanitary pads for Kamanzi Secondary School students.  The cost of uniforms is prohibitive for those students with the least resources; and, lack of sanitary pads hinders attendance which can impact academic progress.

Help us reach our goal!

Help remove obstacles for these students by supporting this project using the button that says “Donate Now!” on the local committee’s website.  While there, you can read more about the project and meet some Kamanzi Secondary School students.
.

It’s not too soon to start thinking about submitting a proposal for the 2022 AMATYC Annual Conference in Toronto!  The submission window will be open November 1, 2021 – Feb 1, 2022.
